Science
The science program is designed to develop scientific literacy, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The goal of science education is to stimulate student curiosity about their immediate surroundings and our universe. The curriculum is TEKS driven using researched-based resources and instructional strategies. Science concepts are taught through scientific investigations with an emphasis on science process standards using cooperative learning and hands-on experiences. Students apply their understanding of science content through models, projects, presentations, and class discussions.
